Donna L. Keefe, L.Ac. earned her Masters of Traditional Oriental Medicine after graduating in 1988 from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. She continued post-graduate studies while working in a hospital in Hainan, China in 1993, receiving a Certificate in 'Bi Zheng and Scalp Acupuncture'. She is also Certified as a Qi Gong Instructor, integrating ancient therapeutic breathing and exercise techniques into her treatments. Donna is very active in her profession. She sat on the Board and was past Treasurer of the California Acupuncture Association. She was also chosen as a Clinical Examiner and Subject Matter Expert for the California Acupuncture Committee helping to develop the California State Board examination. She currently teaches in the Departments of Oriental Medicine and Clinical Practice at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine. Donna is the Clinical Director of the Acupuncture Center of La Jolla and has been in private practice since 1989. Donna is a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine and specializes in Fertility and other Women's Health Care issues.

 

 

 

Shelly A. Krahn, L.Ac. graduated in 1987 from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and was licensed in California and Nationally. She continued studying different methods of pain control and relief from pain both from trauma and overuse syndromes. Her interest in women's health issues had her studying Japanese techniques in gynecological problems and infertility with an emphasis in abdominal diagnostics and treatment methods. She is currently studying Korean hand therapy and special points of Master Tong that work on most all types of pain and gynecological problems including infertility in both males and females. Shelly has been a professor at Pacific College of Oriental Medicine since 1995 and supervises student interns at the college's student clinic. She is also a National Instructor for Clean Needle Technique. She specializes in Fertility, Woman's Health Care issues and Pain Relief.

 

 

 

Norah earned her master's degree from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine and is both California and nationally certified in acupuncture and herbal medicine. Her clinical experiences include treating patients at a clinic for the homeless and underserved that runs in collaboration with University of California at San Diego medical students and faculty physicians, as well as working as a member of the multidisciplinary palliative care team at San Diego Hospice. In addition to her training in San Diego, Norah has studied in China, doing clinical work at Nanjing Hospital and attending seminars through the China Nanjing International Acupuncture Training Center.

Norah is passionate about using Chinese medicine to enhance mental and emotional health, and her clinical focus includes the treatment of eating disorders, anxiety, and trauma. Besides her training in Chinese medicine, Norah regularly attends seminars focusing specifically on the treatment of eating disorders and related issues. She is a member of the International Association of Eating Disorders Professionals (iaedp) and has treated eating disorders both in private practice and as a member of an intensive outpatient program team. Lori Wilson, L.Ac., has been practicing in the holistic health field since 1999. Lori received her Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine, San Diego. Along with being a California certified acupuncturist, Lori also is nationally recognized with a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine from the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Lori's clinical experience includes treating children and their families in the integrative Hematology/Oncology unit at San Diego Children's Hospital and working with geriatric conditions at the Seniors Health Clinic in San Diego in conjunction with UCSD. Lori has studied in China, treating patients at Chengdu University Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine. Her special interest is in women's health and fertility.

 

 

 

John first experienced acupuncture as a patient when it successfully relieved his back pain. He received his training at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, CA., where he graduated with a Masters degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine in 1988.

John has extensive clinical experience and post graduate training. Since 1993 John has studied with Dr. Richard Tan, a world renowned practitioner and teacher of "The Balance Method" of acupuncture. In this highly effective system distal points are used as opposed to needling into the painful affected site. This often results in almost immediate relief from a persons condition.

John is also a Postural Alignment Specialist in "The Egoscue Method" and does postural evaluations and prescribes therapeutic exercises to relieve a wide variety of conditions.

For many years John has studied a number of martial art forms and yoga and continues training in Tai Chi chaun, Nami Ryu Aiki Ju Jutsu, Systema and does posture exercises from "The Egoscue Method". Many principals and exercises from these arts are applicable to daily life thru enhancing health and teaching skills to deal with stress and fears.

 

 

 

Korin D. Owens, L.Ac. earned a Master of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine in San Diego, California. She is a Licensed Acupuncturist by the State of California Acupuncture Board, as well as Nationally Board Certified as a Diplomate in Oriental Medicine. In addition to her clinical experience as an intern at Pacific College, Korin worked with elderly patients at the Senior Health Clinic at First Lutheran Church in downtown San Diego. Korin's educational background includes an undergraduate degree from Colorado State University in Psychology and in Spanish Language and Literature.

Her numerous areas of interest include Respiratory, Gastrointestinal, Gynecological and Psychological Disorders. Korin's practice of this medicine addresses all aspects of the human being - the physical, emotional and spiritual. Her treatments incorporate a combination of modalities including acupuncture, moxibustion, Chinese herbal medicine, food therapy and therapeutic massage. When she is not in the clinic, Korin enjoys reading, photography, hiking and practicing Qigong.
